Launched in 2021, Coral Geographer has been purpose-designed to access remote places that are often inaccessible to large cruise vessels. Sister ship to Coral Adventurer, she has over 1000 square metres of open deck space and most rooms are balcony staterooms and suites.
The ship’s dual ‘Xplorer’ tenders allow for deeper exploration on shore excursions. These ‘safari jeeps’ of the sea are fast, sturdy, and comfortable. They allow for easy boarding from the ship and walk-off disembarkation onto remote shores.
Coral Geographer carries a maximum of 120 guests, delivering Coral Expeditions’ renowned warm Australian hospitality, intimate onboard atmosphere, and world-class expedition experience.

With a maximum of 120 guests, your chefs have the creative freedom to prepare small batch meals from fresh, seasonal produce. The dining room offers open seat dining, without the need to reserve a table. Meals are served in a combination of family table platters and table d’hote. Morning and afternoon teas are also provided, as is 24-hour access to tea and coffee.
Selected beers, wines and spirits are included with lunch and dinner service, as well as soft drinks and juices. Fresh drinking water is available onboard at water stations. There are wine selections that guests may purchase in addition to the included house selection.

The Coral Geographer features all outside-facing guest cabins with ensuite bathrooms; the majority have a private balcony. Active stabilisers dampen sea motion whilst travelling on your voyage. Coral Geographer also features a well equipped gym, passenger elevator and Wi-Fi in all areas (at cost) for guest comfort.

Darwin departures: Embark at 8:00am for a 9:00am departure.

Cruise through Gardner Plateau gorges into the mist spray of the dramatic King George Falls, Western Australia’s tallest twin waterfalls. Depending on the season, experience up-close views of honeycomb sandstone formations or thundering waterfalls in the earlier months, in our Xplorer tenders.
Land at galleries showcasing Wandjina and Gwion Gwion art. These sandstone shelters hold some of Australia’s oldest continuous cultural stories. Our expert guides share the significance of figures painted on rock walls thousands of years ago. Stretch your legs exploring magnificent rock formations that provided perfect canvases for ancient artists.
Visit uninhabited islands where 100,000 seabirds flock annually. This marine park encompasses the West, Middle, and East Islands, as well as their surrounding territorial waters. Declared a National Nature Reserve in 1983, Ashmore Reef hosts over 70 fish species and 255 coral varieties. Watch for nesting marine turtles and migratory birds while snorkelling pristine waters.
Explore Scott Reef on the continental shelf. Weather permitting, snorkel and dive outer reef walls where diverse coral habitats thrive. The sheer drops and pristine ecosystems showcase nature at its most spectacular. These Timor Sea atolls offer some of the clearest water you’ll find anywhere.
Twice daily, tidal shifts reveal a massive reef in cascading waterfalls. Named by Phillip Parker King, Montgomery Reef emerges from the Indian Ocean, exposing rock pools and rivulets. Our Zodiacs position you perfectly to witness the spectacle as expedition guides explain the formation of the reef and the behaviour of its wildlife. Birds feed in exposed pools while turtles, dolphins and dugongs hunt in swirling eddies.
Witness rapids through narrow gorges where massive tides create horizontal waterfalls. David Attenborough called this “one of the greatest natural wonders of the world.” Ocean water builds up and forces its way through bottlenecks in the McLarty Ranges, creating rushing seawater falls. Talbot Bay is situated among the 800 islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago.
If tides and weather permit, explore the Lacepede Islands, a Class‑A nature reserve. Witness seabird rookeries, green turtle nesting zones, and glide through coastal lagoons aboard our tenders for an immersive wildlife experience.
Spend two days at The Rowley Shoals reefs of Clerke, Mermaid and Imperieuse, 170 nautical miles offshore. Captain Phillip Parker King named these atolls, offering some of Earth’s best underwater adventures. Shallow lagoons contain 233 coral species and 688 fish species, many of which are found nowhere else. Giant potato cod and Maori wrasse patrol these waters.
Broome arrival: Disembark at 8:00am with transfers to the CBD or airport included. Visit Cable Beach or explore the historic streets of Chinatown.
Darwin arrival: Disembark Fort Hill Wharf at 9:30am with transfers included. Enjoy the tropical city’s waterfront and harbourside Wave Pool.
