Cyclone Dianne recently passed through the region, bringing heavy rains and waterfalls galore!

An update from the staff of Diversity 10 April 2025

The 2025 Kimberley season has officially begun, and what a spectacular start it has been! Cyclone Dianne recently passed through the region, bringing heavy rains that have only enhanced the beauty of the Kimberley. The waterfalls are flowing at their fullest, the landscapes are lush and vibrant, and the fishing has been nothing short of incredible. Diversity’s team and guests remained safe, and now we’re making the most of the incredible conditions left in its wake.

Diversity III anchored under the King George Falls in the northern Kimberley
Fishing:
Our guests have already reeled in some fantastic catches. The water is still warm, and the barra didn’t disappoint on the first trip of the season. Top Catch Award went to a guest who caught a 93cm catch-and-release monster barra at the Berkeley River.
Food:
Guests were treated to an absolute feast on board Diversity III with Chef Sam Wilson. Sam loves mediterranean food with a nod to North Africa, Southern Mediterranean and the Middle Eastern cuisines. He is all about simple food, cooked beautifully and full of flavour.

The King Cascade in full flood post Cyclone Dianne – wow!

The swimming holes all got a top up

Waterfalls galore. Thanks. Cyclone Dianne!

Bookings for 2025:
Diversity’s 14-day expeditions are now completely booked for the year. If you missed out, don’t worry, the 9-day adventures from June still have cabins available (for now).  June is one of the most magical times in the Kimberley and with all the recent monsoonal activity there will be more water around the waterfalls than normal, making it a really special experience.
