Accommodation Overview

Located in the East Kimberley, El Questro is 700,000 acres of vast and stunningly beautiful terrain. This diverse landscape extends 80 kilometres north to south and 60 kilometres east to west and is mostly unexplored. From rugged sandstone ranges and broad tidal flats to rainforest pockets, thermal springs, gorges and permanent waterfalls, El Questro is a unique place and perfect for those with a sense of adventure. Hike through ancient gorges to waterfalls that await you at the end. Fish for barramundi in locations accessible by helicopter only. Explore the vast landscape on horseback. El Questro Homestead

Nestled within the Kimberley’s vast and ancient landscape and hidden amongst burnt-orange cliffs and lush, green lawns sits El Questro Homestead, a pocket of luxurious exclusivity where you’re encouraged to make yourself at home. This nine-suite hideaway is surrounded by avenues of frangipani trees and, once inside, offers chic yet cosy and comfortable interiors where bedrooms are cantilevered over the still and tranquil Chamberlain River.

Each day at the Homestead is likely to start with birdsong and end with a locally sourced three-course dinner, and matched wines, under a blanket of stars. During a stay at the Homestead guests are offered complimentary excursions, allowing for a fully immersive Kimberley experience.

The Station

Located on the banks of the Pentecost River, The Station is the busy central hub of El Questro, where air-conditioned accommodation and sprawling campgrounds share landscaped lawns and gardens, with facilities that cater to all Station guests. Relax on the riverbank, swim in the tranquil swimming hole and in the evenings, enjoy food and beverage at the nearby Swinging Arm Bar restaurant. Choose between garden view or river view rooms.

Emma Gorge

Immerse yourself in the picturesque landscape of the rocky, red Cockburn Ranges at Emma Gorge. Sleep under canvas with the soothing sounds of the local wildlife surrounding you. With modern en suites, electricity and tea/coffee facilities, the safari-style tented cabins allow you to experience the great outdoors in complete comfort.

Set off on the Emma Gorge walk, located on the edge of the resort – a 45 minute walk from your tented cabin. Experience the stunning turquoise pool and Emma Gorge itself as a reward at the end. Dine at Emma’s Restaurant or relax by the pool at Emma Gorge resort. If you want to venture a little further, El Questro Station is only 30 minutes’ drive away.
