Odyssey

Louise joins Odyssey in May 2011

cruise:

9 day Mitchell Plateau. Departed from Broome Airport, landed Mitchell Plateau to board helicopter to Naturalist Island for embarkation onto Odyssey. Then cruised south covering highlights of the Southern Kimberley coast.

cabin: Main Deck Deluxe

The cabin was comfortable and featured a queen bed, desk, large windows, vanity, and wardrobe. The advantange of being in a Main Deck Deluxe would mean you have large viewing windows and alot more space than the lower deck standard.

top 3 sights / activities:

1)  I really enjoyed swimming in the fresh waterholes, and getting soaked under the King Cascade, where the vessel took us directly under the full force of the water!

2)  Camden Harbour – where there are historical remnants from early white settlement.

3)  The ride of a lifetime through the magnificent Horizontal Falls!

food report:

Daily buffet with a variety of fresh salads, seafood and meat dishes; there was always plenty of variety with yummy desserts and afternoon delights! What the chef did with our daily catch was scrumptious!

this cruise is ideal for:

Anyone who is easy going, relaxed, informal and willing to try anything! Especially ideal for those who love to dine alfresco like I do!!

most useful item i packed:

Lollies! And my sarong.

value for money:

The Kimberley is a vast, unique and priceless remote wilderness! One of the few areas in the world that can't have a monetary value placed upon it!! It's priceless! For remote access to cruising, with all the comforts and splendid dining on board, together with the range of activities, one can appreciate the value of operating a cruise like this one!
