*NEWSFLASH: REFURB COMPLETED IN NOVEMBER 2016*
We are excited to announce the completion of a significant upgrade and refresh of facilities aboard Coral Discoverer. The Sun Deck has evolved to become a new social space and the hub of on board community living. This area has been converted into an undercover deck area complete with round ‘Explorer Bar’ with bar stools and sun deck with lounges and an area for outdoor exercise equipment.
Guest accommodation has also received a substantial upgrade with the addition of six Bridge Deck Balcony Staterooms providing coveted inside/outside living quarters. Each of our other Stateroom grades has also received a full upgrade with updated bathroom fixtures, soft furnishings and artwork making for an even more comfortable stay on board Coral Discoverer.
The “Explorer” is a specially designed aluminium excursion vessel used for the majority of our excursions. This vessel has high horsepower engines and will accommodate all passengers at one time. The “Explorer” will be used for landings and for extensive exploration of rivers and tributaries. For your added convenience and comfort, the “Explorer” is equipped with an awning and toilet.
We also carry two inflatable landing craft (Zodiacs). Designed for expedition work, these large and heavy-duty inflatables are extremely safe. The flat bottom design permits these crafts to land directly onto the beaches. Expect nonetheless to wade through shallow water to reach the shore.
The unique hydraulic platform at the stern allows absolute ease of access for all passengers embarking from the main deck.
On your trip you will savour small batch, modern-Australian cuisine created by your talented chefs using fresh, locally sourced produce. The small size of the ship enables Coral Discoverer to make last minute changes based on what is available locally. The Dining Rooms offer open-seat dining without the need to reserve a table, allowing you to dine with old or new friends on each occasion.
The cocktail bars and lounges are fully stocked with a selection of Australian and New Zealand wines, beers and a variety of artisan spirits, soft drinks and juices. Complimentary tea and barista style coffee are available 24 hours a day.
